This blank book is the perfect gift for the comics fan in your life — or yourself! Crafted with traditional methods, it’s both elegant and sturdy. Iridescent red bookcloth covers the spine, while the front and back covers display pages from Ms. Marvel #5 (Wilson, Alphona, Herring). Comics aren’t made from the best materials, so these have been coated with an archival, anti-UV varnish. There’s a gold ribbon for you to mark your place.
The comics pages gave me some grief when I was binding this, and you can see the resulting wrinkle and wear in the images. This is a rock-solid binding with minor cosmetic damage.
This 5.25″ x 8.5″ journal’s blank pages are roughly 5 x 8″ and heavy enough to write on in ink without bleeding through, but thin enough to put lined paper behind the sheet you’re writing on and see them so you can have lines when you want.
This hardcover journal was hand-bound by me in my home workshop, using acid-free Mohawk Superfine 70# text paper, quality bookboard and other materials, and a mix of PVA and methyl cellulose adhesives. It will last a lifetime if treated with a modicum of care. It has 80 leaves, which is 160 pages if you number each side of each leaf. My home is smoke-free.

I had a great time binding it, I hope you’ll have a great time filling it with your thoughts, dreams, and plans!
